Certification of 6 courses
The examination in Spanish Language measures knowledge and understanding of material typically taught in a two-semester, undergraduate course sequence in elementary Spanish. The content of the examination corresponds with course offerings such as Elementary Spanish. It assesses basic Spanish language proficiencies in the areas of receptive skills, expressive skills, and cultural skills (applying language proficiencies within authentic cultural contexts), through four question types: listening comprehension (using audio cues), reading comprehension, verbal communication, and grammar.


Certification of 6 courses
The Spanish Language examination is designed to measure the ability to understand spoken and written Spanish. This ability needs to be equivalent to that of students who have completed two to four semesters of college Spanish language study. The examination contains approximately 120 questions to be answered in 90 minutes. Some of these are pretest questions that will not be scored. There are three separately timed sections. The three sections are weighted so that each question contributes equally to the total score. Any time you spend on tutorials or providing personal information is in addition to the actual testing time.

The UExcel examination in Statistics measures knowledge and understanding of the material typically taught in an introductory, one-semester course in statistics. It measures the fundamental concepts of descriptive and inferential statistics and is designed to correspond to a service course applicable to many majors. A basic knowledge of algebra is assumed.
