About Prince2 and it's Benefits
#1
PRINCE2: since 2006, the method has been revised and launched as "PRINCE2: 2009 Refresh" on June 16, 2009. The name "PRINCE2" (instead of "PRINCE3" or similar) was kept to indicate that the method remains true to its principles. Nonetheless, it is a fundamental revision of the 1996 method to adapt it to changes in the business environment, to make the method simpler and "lighter", to resolve weaknesses or misunderstandings and to better integrate it with other methods of the OGC ( ITIL , P3O, P3M3 , MSP, M_o_R etc.). The main difference between the 2009 version and the previous ones is that there will be two manuals: "Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2 - 2009 Edition" and "Directing Successful Projects with PRINCE2 - 2009 Edition". Both the Foundation and Practitioner exams will be based on the new "Managing Projects" manual and will not include material from the new book "Directing Successful Projects". The minimum required for the Foundation exam will remain the same but the minimum for the Practitioner exam passes from the current 50% to 55%. The Practitioner exam will also be shorter, from 3 hours to 2.5 hours.

Benefits
PRINCE2 is a structured approach to project management. Provides a method for managing projects within a clearly defined work environment. PRINCE2 describes procedures for coordinating people and activities in a project, how to plan and supervise the project, and what to do if the project needs adjustments and if it does not develop as planned. In the method, each process is specified with its main inputs, outputs and with specific objectives and activities to be implemented, which give automatic control of any deviation from the plan. Divided into manageable cycles, the method allows efficient control of resources. Based on the close monitoring, the project can be carried out in a controlled and organized manner. Being a structured method widely recognized and understood [ without source ] , PRINCE2 provides a common language for all project participants. The various management roles and responsibilities involved in the project are fully described and are adaptable to take into account the complexity of the project and the skills of the organization.
